Employment Opportunities:
From year to year C.W.F.F.T. will hire individuals to assist with the administration of our testing services based on demand.
- Previously hired part-time appraisers have been SP-100 students, current and or retired Firerangers as well as Co-op students in the health and fitness field.
- Interested candidates must be prepared for extensive travel during our testing season of Feb., March & April, meals and accommodations are provided while out of town. Previous SP-100 candidates travelling with us in the past have found that travelling with our testing crew has provided numerous opportunities to visit some of the remote Fire Centres as well as opportunities to meet many of the fire managers either on site at the tests or at their respective Fire Bases. Some have worked the entire season whereas others have been with us for shorter lengths due to scheduling conflicts. We are flexible and understand people have previous commitments.
- Due to the nature of our services, professionalism, attention to detail, ability to follow precise test policies and procedures, and awareness of potential hazards that exist during a test session are extremely important at all times. There is no room for error during a test session while employed for C.W.F.F.T. as part of our appraiser team.
- Candidates interested should have an updated CPR and recognized First Aid Certificate, in good physical shape, a willingness to travel extensively across the province as well as a valid Drivers license. Experience in a health and fitness field would be beneficial but not mandatory.
If this position interests you, please forward an updated resume that includes references that we may contact and include a separate cover letter that answers the following question;
“I would make a great addition to your appraising team because….”
